The Hero Bags Story

Hero Bags is a San Francisco company founded in 2008 on the belief that amazingly cool products can be made here in the USA out of American sourced materials. 

Working with certified fair labor stitchers Hero Bags manufactures all of its bags & totes in the United States. All material sourced for Hero Bags is either grown, manufactured and or processed in the USA.

Founder and designer Susanne Pierce Maddux is an accomplished industrial designer and former member of the Apple industrial design team. Susanne holds design and engineering patents and has a background in fine arts including printmaking, glassblowing, pottery and woodworking.

The Hero Bags mission is to create products with a sense of whimsy, delight and purpose while using sustainable materials and American manufacturers. Thanks for shopping with us!
